Fall Camping

One of our favorite times of the camping season. We have many Fall activities at Greenwood Acres Family Campground.

Greenwood Acres Family Campground is Jackson County’s largest family campground and RV Park. Here, you’ll find over 1,100 campsites on 300 acres of land, featuring one mile of beautiful scenery on Goose Lake. Families come to relax on the beach, enjoy fishing or leisure boating where the maximum speed is 5 mph.

All campsites have water hookups and 30 amp electricity (except for our specified "Primitive Campsites"). There are plenty of campsites that include 50 amp electricity and sewer hookups. Pull-thru sites are available for big rig travelers which accommodates quick arrival & departure. All short stay/overnight camping sites include a picnic table and firepit. There is a dump station, modern bathrooms, a laundry facility, propane, firewood, a small store, and pavilions.

Looking for a campground where the whole family will enjoy themselves? We’ve got you covered as we offer a Rec Center with several arcade games and pool tables. A Clubhouse that hosts arts & crafts and organizes a variety of activities for all ages- check out our 2024 Activity Brochure to see what fun events will be going on this season! At Greenwood Acres Family Campground, there is something to do for campers of all ages. We have a swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, 18-hole mini-golf course (equipment rentals can be found inside our Rec Center), RC race track, multiple playgrounds, 2 giant jumping pillows, shuffleboard, tennis & basketball courts, horseshoes, a beautiful fishing pier, and even a retired military tank to explore!

We encourage campers to bring their furry family members as we are pet-friendly. *Please note pets are required to be on a leash (6' or less) at all times, non aggressive, and pet parents are responsible for clean up. No dogs allowed inside or on the outer edge of the Rec Pavilion during an event.

Stay with us during the Fourth of July and enjoy the private spectacular fireworks display, there will also be several activities for everyone to join. Or partake in the Fall festivities such as trick or treating, mini pumpkin hunts, hayrides, and more during October!

Are you curious as to how people explore 300 acres? Many campers cruise around on their golf carts while they stay with us and for your convenience, on-site golf cart rentals are available by Leisure Golf Carts LLC! We also offer a complimentary Tram Rides on weekends & holidays that has multiple stops throughout the campground.

We are located seven miles east of Jackson and are only 20 miles north of Michigan International Speedway. When on I-94 westbound, take exit 147, or if eastbound, take exit 145.

Open for camping April 1- October 31

"Best campground in Michigan! We have been seasonal campers for 5 plus years and love this place. We now call it home. There is always a lot of activities for children and adults. Plus a free 9 hole golf course, putt putt golf, a huge recreational center with tons of games, and hand dipped delicious ice cream. They also have bands every Saturday amongst many other activities throughout the weekends. A great place to make family memories ❤️" 5/5 -reynolds4d1

" A great campground for all! Plenty of activities for everyone. They had a concert one night. They also had a nice craft show. The grounds are kept near and orderly. Our power was 30 amp service. Cart rental was out of carts but understandably you need to reserve ahead of time. Worth it as the campground is quite large." 5/5 -Shawn S.

"First off this is a massive campground, "largest in Michigan". Most of the sites are seasonal. As you can imagine with like 5000 people on a weekend and these being vacation homes, there are lots of rules and plenty of staff to let you know them. I have no problem with law and order.

Me and my son went this week and were pummeled by that severe storm that left many without power. We took shelter in the bathhouse.

When the storm ended, the staff went site to site checking on campers, they worked all night clearing the roads and running generators for the bathhouse and other buildings.

I've camped in plenty of storms and have never seen campground employees work so hard and check on campers.

This said there is also plenty to to do. We will definitely be back!" 5/5 -Gary C.
