Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2018 – also referred to as Pearl Harbor Day 2018 – is a holiday observed, annually, on December 7th in the United States of America. It is a day dedicated to honoring and remembering the 2,403 victims who were killed in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, in Hawaii, during World War II on December 7, 1941. Although, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2018 is not a federal holiday it is still a significant day in American and World War II history.

Traditionally, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2018 is viewed as a time of honor for those who were killed and remember this attack on the United States of America. It is a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2017 tradition, throughout the country, that the United States flag is raised half-mast on this day in order to honor the fallen victims. Some organizations and schools may hold special events in memory of those killed or injured in Pearl Harbor.
